Prioritise lightweight, moisture-wicking clothing, a high-quality raincoat, sturdy hiking boots, and insect repellent. For birdwatching and wildlife spotting, a pair of 8x42 binoculars is highly recommended.

While we encourage a "digital detox" to fully immerse in nature, stable Wi-Fi is generally available in main resort areas. Connectivity may be limited deep within the forest reserves or during boat transfers.

Absolutely. Our island partners offer world-class snorkeling, kayaking, and guided nature walks. The beauty of Borneo is just as vibrant above the water’s surface as it is below.

The dry season from March to October is ideal. This period offers the best visibility for diving at Lankayan Island and the highest chances of spotting orangutans and pygmy elephants in the wild.

Most nationalities receive a 90-day visa-free entry. However, all visitors must complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) within three days of arrival and ensure their passport is valid for at least six months.

Most expeditions begin in Sandakan. You can fly directly to Sandakan (SDK) from Kuala Lumpur or Kota Kinabalu. From there, we coordinate private land transfers to Sepilok or boat departures to Lankayan Island.

Borneo’s most iconic residents include the Orangutan, Proboscis Monkey, Pygmy Elephant, Rhinoceros Hornbill, and the Saltwater Crocodile.

While nature is unpredictable, Lankayan Island is a year-round nesting site for Green and Hawksbill turtles. The peak nesting season occurs between June and September, offering the highest probability of witnessing this incredible event.

A portion of every stay is funneled directly into our partners like Reef Guardian and local sanctuaries. These funds support reef patrolling, forest rehabilitation, and the protection of endangered species like the Sun Bear.

We focus on Borneo's most elusive endemics, including the enigmatic Bornean Bristlehead, the "Whitehead’s Trio" (Broadbill, Trogon, and Spiderhunter), and the stunning Blue-headed Pitta. Our itineraries are designed to maximize sightings of all eight species of Hornbills found in Sabah.

Our curated route covers Sabah’s premier "Important Bird Areas" (IBAs). This includes the canopy walkways of Sepilok, the riverine systems of the Kinabatangan, and the ancient primary rainforests of the Danum Valley.

Our expeditions cater to everyone from professional ornithologists to casual bird-lovers. We provide expert local guides equipped with high-quality spotting scopes to ensure every guest gets a clear, detailed view of even the most well-camouflaged species.

We recommend 8x42 or 10x42 binoculars for forest birding. Lightweight, quick-dry earth-toned clothing is essential for blending into the environment, along with a high-quality raincoat and a dry bag to protect your camera and optics from tropical showers.

Absolutely. We adhere to strict ethical birding protocols, prioritizing the welfare of the birds over a "sighting at any cost." We do not use playback in sensitive nesting areas and maintain a safe distance to ensure minimal disruption to natural behaviors.
